NOVA module
Know more. Operate better. Extend service life.
The NOVA module transforms your grab into a data-driven system – providing greater transparency, planned maintenance and safe operation.
NOVA can be integrated modularly into various types of grabs.
What is the NOVA module?
NOVA is installed between the suspension and the grab’s guide housing and records the actual loads during operation. Based on the operating data collected, the system determines key parameters, including the load spectrum and available operating hours.
Relevant data is continuously recorded and analysed. NOVA makes actual operating conditions visible – from the loads being transported to the stresses acting on the grab.
All key information is clearly displayed on the integrated XXL touchscreen. This gives operators and maintenance teams a clear overview of the current operating status at all times, enabling maintenance decisions to be based on real operating data.
Actual operating data
NOVA continuously records loads, load cycles and other relevant operating data.
Monitor operating status
Operating conditions, overloads, sensors and other equipment data are monitored transparently in real time.
Plan maintenance effectively
Actual operating data helps determine maintenance intervals more precisely and avoid unnecessary routine maintenance.

Know what your grab can do.
NOVA continuously records and analyses your grab’s relevant operating data. This turns individual measurements into a clear picture of load levels, operating conditions and maintenance requirements.
What does this mean in practice? The following questions show what information NOVA provides and how it helps you better understand your grab and operate it more efficiently:
NOVA determines the actual load weight during operation and makes this information available directly. This allows you to see at any time what load the grab is currently handling.
NOVA records load cycles and the weight of each load handled. This data is used to determine the actual load spectrum, providing a much more accurate picture of the real stresses acting on your grab.
Operating hours and other relevant operating data are recorded continuously. This gives you a clear overview of your grab’s actual usage and provides a reliable basis for future operational and maintenance planning.
NOVA monitors key information about the grab’s condition, including sensors and geared motors. Overloads and other relevant operating data are also recorded and can be reviewed on the display.
NOVA takes operating hours and configured maintenance intervals into account. When maintenance is due, the system issues an automatic notification, allowing maintenance work to be planned in advance and carried out when needed.
Greater transparency. Better planning. Fewer unplanned downtimes.
NOVA provides the data needed to understand how your grab is actually used, identify load stresses and plan maintenance more effectively. This helps extend the service life of your grab, reduce unplanned downtime and avoid unnecessary routine maintenance.
